West Henstill House is a lovely thatched detached Grade II listed cottage near the Devon village of Sandford. The house sleeps eight people in four bedrooms, two double and two twin with an en suite shower room and family bathroom. On the ground floor is a kitchen with dining area and doors to the garden and a sitting room with an open fire. Outside is a barbecue area and steps up to an enclosed lawn, as well as a field at the front for games. Just over two miles from Sanford, West Henstill House is an excellent base for enjoying a relaxing holiday in Devon. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry no smoking. Guests should be aware that in rural Devon the roads are poorly maintained and the last half mile approach to the house should be approached carefully as there are many potholes, but the house is accessible even for cars with low ground clearance. Region: Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Town: A busy market town 8.5 miles north west of the cathedral city of Exeter, and situated in an area of Devon known as “Red Devon” so called because of the distinctive red soil. This is a rural area of Devon which is tranquil, unspoilt and where ruby cattle are seen grazing amongst the rolling green meadows. Crediton is home to this cottage. Dartmoor National Park and Meshaw Moor reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Crediton Arts Centre and Lords Meadow Leisure Centre.
