The Lord Nelson pub was a pleasant stay on a Saturday night in a busy little town centre. There was a little bit of late night noise but not to much,we still got to sleep. The beds were very comfortable and clean, the rooms are basic but that was ok for us. We had a breakfast which was average but ok and the service from the manager Daniel was top notch! Didn't eat here in the evening as we had already eaten but the menu looks fare and a Sunday carvery is available. Overall 8/10 from us !

Wonderul stay at the Lord Nelson with very friendly staff to welcome us. Part of our tour through England/Wales this is where we started for a couple of days in this area. very nice location in town, with plenty of parking just behind the inn. Great food for dinner, had a good couple of nights rest. Had a great meal at the inn on one night. The other we went to "Little Italy" for tapas. Both recommended from our side! Had a nice walk along the water a couple of miles out theres a bridge and come back the other side back to town. By car we found plenty of sites to visit for walking routes.

The room we stayed in had a double bed and 2 single beds. it wasn’t big enough for the double bed never mind the other 2.. no wardrobe just a few coat hangers above the single bed. The floor was sloping so head lower than feet. The bathroom was tiny with half used toiletries. The pillow I had was filthy as was the fan. The window wouldn’t open so really stuffy. This room was £96 for 1 night without breakfast. Needless to say we will not be recommending or staying here again.

Great little bar with good food at reasonable prices. Rooms are tired and need updating.
