Clean room, big breakfast buffet, very friendly staff. Would stay here again. The view from the room is spectacular and great access to the beach.

The porter service is a necessity and luckily included with the room! The 250 stairs are not for the faint of heart. The lobby receptionist was fairly helpful but not very friendly. Room was clean, double balcony, and mostly view of the city which was amazing lit of at night! Overall great hotel.

Staff was lovely and the daily included breakfast was terrific. Freshly made cappuccinos too. The beach club connected to their sister hotel was very convenient. Prices at the beach club were surprisingly reasonable, beach servers were very attentive, and the food was very good. However, the AC didn’t work that well and it turned off when the room was empty (during the heatwave) which meant it didn’t cool down for bedtime. Room Decor needs a refresh. The biggest downside - ALL THE STAIRS. It’s not just a 10 minute path to the main town. It’s a fairly strenuous hike up and down steep stairs and paths. There’s no easy way to get to town, and I wish we had stayed closer. It appeared that the path from the beach to town was a flat walk which seemed fine for a slightly cheaper hotel. It was definitely not flat. You’d arrive sweaty to dinner. If you’re in good shape and if the weather isn’t unusually hot the hotel was a good value.

This hotel was truly lovely. It's a simple, no-frills property, but extremely comfortable. Our room was large and comfortable, breakfast was delicious with a gorgeous view, the staff were very friendly, and overall the place has a really welcoming feel. I'd absolutely recommend it for a comfortable stay without overpaying. A couple of things to keep in mind when booking: Positano has two main beach areas — Spiaggia Grande (the famous, busier one you see in all the photos) and Fornillo, which is smaller and quieter. This hotel is on the Fornillo side, so while the view from the hotel is beautiful, it's not the iconic Spiaggia Grande view. I'd still recommend it, since it's a much quieter stay than the main side of town, but keep in mind it's about a 10–15 minute walk to Spiaggia Grande — and in Positano, everything is uphill or downhill, so even a short walk isn't an easy one. Also, the hotel isn't accessible by car; but parking isn't far — less than a 5-minute walk — and there are porters who handle your luggage, so you don't have to lift a thing. Getting there involves around 70 steps downhill, and then uphill again on the way back to the parking lot. Nothing serious, just something to factor in. We loved this hotel and I'd stay here again without hesitation.
