Pros: Good WiFi connection. Good location. Adequate parking- on hotel property. Nice view. Cons: Lukewarm water temperature for shower. A lot of street and hotel noise, making sleeping difficult. Reduced responsiveness from staff- we were aware that reception would not manned, but we had to call them to get information as they didn’t respond to WhatsApp messages initially. We also asked if they could provide a fan, but they didn’t even respond to this request.

Las Arenas proved to be the ideal location for us to explore Picos de Europa National Park. This hotel is also great for leaving the car parked and walking into the village for an evening meal and a drink at the end of the day. Plenty of parking spaces around the hotel and a little cafe 2 minutes down the road for our breakfast. Very pleased with our stay, we made a good choice.

Over all very nice spot. Room was nice and beds were very comfortable! The room was hot with no way to shut off the heater or cool it down. Also you need a code to get your key out of a box in front of the building. Not sure if we missed a message or what, but we never received a code. Thankfully there were other guests who let us use their code to retrieve our key otherwise I’m not sure if we would have gotten in that night.
