SInk would not clear in the bathroom, even after attention it was really slow to drain. Wi-Fi was almost non existent.

We previously visited Honfleur at stayed at Hotel Du Dauphin in 2024. We found the experience to be completely charming and so we were so excited to return this summer. We were on a road trip of France, staying in 7 different accommodation and our visit to Honfleur would, we thought, be the highlight but sadly it was so disappointing. We were in room 31 which is terrible. It has a very small window which due to it's design and the shutters cannot be opened to allow in any air or light, without risking our security and impacting our privacy. Consequently, the room was incredibly dark and stuffy. After the first night, we asked if we could change rooms but were advised that there was only one option available and that would have the same issues so we thought there was no point in changing. It all meant we had a very depressing stay. On a separate note, we were advised when checking-in that the hotel has a policy of providing water and teas/coffee sachets in the room but only for the first night of any stay.Sure enough the water or coffee were not replenished for our second night. Why is that? It's just annoying. We didn't pay less for our second night than our first so why did we not receive the same level of provisions?

Great location near the Old Harbor. Ancient building so stairs were a narrow and winding (no lift). Very quiet . I chose not to eat breakfast there as there were so many other options, The spa/gym service were in a different building and with a charge so I did not use them. Overall a good experience and I would use it again if I return to Honfleur.
