Centaurée** – Charm and rustic charm at “Witch on the Roof”

Rural vacation rental, part of the Accueil Paysan network, consisting of the Safran cottage for 4–5 people and the Centaurée cottage for 2–3 people. Centaurée is located on the first floor of a 19th-century building, surrounded by 2 hectares of unfenced land (pastures and a chestnut grove). Located in the heart of the countryside, on a hillside in a hamlet in the town of Firmi, with a splendid view of the surrounding countryside, and near the Way of St. James and Conques, as well as a half-hour drive from the Soulages Museum in Rodez. The village and its shops are 2 km away; Decazeville is a 10-minute drive (supermarket, shops, train station, mining museum, La Découverte mine) The cottage, with a total area of 35 m², features a 10 m² bedroom, a bathroom, a separate toilet, and a living area with a fully equipped kitchen. The living area, approximately 20 m², is furnished with a table and three chairs, a sofa that converts into a 90-cm bed, a bench, and an armchair. Outdoor space facing southeast in front of the cottage with garden furniture; access to a shared south-facing terrace and a large grassy area, flower gardens, a swing, and a slide for children. The farmhouse has been renovated using an eco-friendly approach, with natural materials and minimal use of chemicals or synthetic products. We also strive to respect our environment: recycling, reusing, a garden that is largely left unmowed in the summer, composting, etc. Therefore, there is no air conditioning, but fans are provided. We appreciate it when our guests (like us!) take showers only, even though a bathtub is available. One 160-size bed and one 90-size bed. A crib and baby gear can be loaned upon request. Access to a shared washing machine. Dishes and kitchen utensils are provided. Sheets, bath towels, and kitchen towels are optional (25 euros) or must be brought by guests. Pillows and blankets are provided. Fans. Central heating. A contribution toward electricity costs may be requested. Located in Firmi, this apartment is in a rural area and on a river. Lucien Mazars Mine Museum and Maison de la Châtaigne are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Château de Bournazel and Château Belcastel.
