The historic market towns of Dorchester and Wareham are nearby, and the area is renowned for links to Thomas Hardy and T E Lawrence. If you like walking there are plenty of local routes to explore, and the South West Coast Path is less than 5 miles away. Local attractions include RSPB Arne, The Tank Museum, Weymouth Sea life Centre, Monkey World and Corfe Castle, or head further afield to Charmouth or Lyme Regis.
