Extremely Disappointed with our stay at Anacapri Hotel. Don’t do it!! Felt far more like a 3 star bnb rather than a hotel. The main thing was our ‘deluxe’ en suite which was far from anything remotely deluxe. Green mould in the bath/shower. Dirty grout, cracked sink and hairs in the bath. Complimentary toiletries amounted to low grade supermarket antibacterial soap. My son’s bathroom in his student accommodation was better! The carpet in the bedroom was clearly not hovered and stained. Other minor issues included cobwebs, curtain tie backs hanging off the wall and the blackout lining in the curtains half hanging off. Breakfast was completely underwhelming…over cooked rubbery scrambled eggs with something that was supposed to resemble bread and cold coffee..we ended up going over the road for a decent cup or coffee. I did bump into the manager and politely did complain and his response was he would get on to house keeping…unfortunately these kind of issues go beyond house keeping…the whole place was run down and neglected yet they are charging for a 5 star experience. Save your money and either pay for a 3 star else where ( which is what this place should be in a good day) or if you want a decent 5 star experience go and stay at the Greenbank hotel which is beautiful! The only redeeming feature the Anacapri had is the receptionist on arrival was friendly.

Breakfast was pleasant, and the location close to the beach and train station was lovely, but I would rank the property as four stars, not five.

We were on the top (third) floor. No lift, s, as an 80 year old, carrying a case up three flights of stairs was difficult - no one around to help. We were at the front of the building overlooking a view of the sea that was absolutely stunning. this was the redeeming factor along with it's proximity to the beach.Other than that there was nothing about the Hotel that warranted a 5 star rating, More like a very good 3 star for us. The weather was extremely hot and there was no air conditioning, just a single tower fan - which was insufficient to help much. The bedroom was a reasonable size but had sloping ceilings (more than a few head bumps! The least favourable feature was the shower room/ toilet which was about 7' square, It had a skylight that would not open and some mould spots in the shower. The house was clean throughout but paintwork and furnishings needed freshening up. The breakfast was good and staff were pleasant. I would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel as a very good 3 star, but not as a 5 star.
